Legal excellence in commercial matters.
At Thornton + King, our clients benefit from the guidance of an Accredited Specialist in Business Law—one of the few lawyers in New South Wales recognised by the Law Society for expertise in this complex and evolving field. Our Lawyers have decades of experience acting on the purchase and sale of businesses.
What is an Accredited Specialist in Business Law?
To be recognised as an Accredited Specialist in Business Law, a lawyer must have practised law full-time for at least 5 years, with no less than 3 years in business law. The lawyer must then undergo a series of structured peer to peer assessments with the Law Society of New South Wales and their Specialist Accreditation Board. The rigorous assessments conducted include mock client files, written examinations, interview panels, and reference checks, in order to truly test the skills and knowledge of the family law practitioner.
Our Accredited Specialist in Business Law is part of a select group of professionals acknowledged for their deep understanding of business structures, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
Why choose an Accredited Specialist?
When it comes to business transactions, the stakes can be high. An Accredited Specialist offers:
Proven expertise in business law.
Strategic advice tailored to your unique commercial objectives.

We understand that every business is different. Whether you’re buying or selling a business, negotiating a lease, or resolving a dispute, we provide advice that is grounded in commercial reality so that you can make informed and realistic decisions.
